There was an armature of wire and aluminum, filled with gunpowder, and hoisted by a hot air balloon.

In other science (?) news from Asia, Japanese scientists are about to get their first crack at naming an element, number 113. Speculation points to Japonium or Rikenium (for the RIKEN Institute). Currently, it's just Ununtrium, which suggests to me an opportunity to name it Unobtanium. It's also known as eka-thallium, which sounds almost like a London orchestra conductor. Apparently, Mendeleev used Sanskrit numbers to name unknown but predicted elements.janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05927176621372532733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1915875085991225575.post-73085873519209269122016-01-04T15:25:32.270-07:002016-01-04T15:25:32.270-07:00Fireworks LadderFireworks LadderWord Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15491300694641304112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1915875085991225575.post-19648002115211240822016-01-04T09:59:41.256-07:002016-01-04T09:59:41.256-07:00Kenyan KillifishesKenyan KillifishesWord Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15491300694641304112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1915875085991225575.post-49213627395975367112016-01-04T09:46:48.244-07:002016-01-04T09:46:48.244-07:00Reorganizing WHO and the End of Polio. . .and Zika...Reorganizing WHO and the End of Polio. . .and Zika, too.Word Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15491300694641304112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1915875085991225575.post-46904606696609091052016-01-03T08:15:33.430-07:002016-01-03T08:15:33.430-07:00Hmmmmm, still pondering, Paul.
