Partial Ellipsis of the Sun is on Spring Break

Enjoy a few views of the Great Sand Dunes in southern Colorado, USA, after our big April snow. . . Amazing Clouds! All the moisture slowed dune movement considerably. The snow outlined some great star and other dunes.

Next up, Abiquiu, Taos. Santa Fe, Albuquerque. Ah--Georgia O'Keeffe country!

      See you next week!

Have a great week!

  1. Yes, spring break a leg!

The photo of Maizie reminds me a little of this or thus.

    2. I guess 4/20 is a state holiday in CO now?

I was just now watching a (fierce, NJ) wild turkey grazing on a neighbor's yard, when he suddenly exited, stage right, followed by another neighbor's dog, entering stage left. Those birds fly very well when they want to.

    3. jan,
Are you sure it wasn't a cat exiting stage right?

  2. Cool findings about Venus's polar atmosphere.

(Would you call wave-like density perturbations on Venus "Venereal disease"? I would.)

  3. Disdyakis triacontahedron.

Those must be cattle ranchers in the video at the end, seeing how long they can keep the thing spinning before it keels over. You know what Shakespeare said: "Cowherds time many dies before their death."
